Ninja Foodi Beef Jerky is so easy to make and packed full of so much flavor. Find out a new and easier way to make beef jerky at home.
Ninja Foodi Beef Jerky
I love making snacks at home, especially with my Ninja Foodi! Some of our favorites are Air Fried Oreos and Ninja Foodi Grill Garlic Fries. One of our goals this year as a family is to add more protein-rich snacks into our daily routine that is why I am loving making Beef Jerky in my Ninja Foodi.
I love that the prep is minimal, the jerky is full of way more flavor than the bags of jerky you buy at the store and it is a much higher quality product. With about 15 minutes of prep + marinating and cooking time you will have homemade beef jerky that will be gobbled up faster than you can make it!
Can you dehydrate in a Ninja Foodi?
A common question people ask is can you dehydrate in the Ninja Foodi and the answer is yes, as long as our model has the dehydrate button. Some models do not. You will need to buy the Ninja dehydrating rack or one similarly made that you can find on Amazon. This can do fruits, vegetables, and different varieties of meat!
How to make Beef Jerky in your Ninja Foodi
- Marinate for 8 hours to overnight. (if your meat is thicker, you can pound it between plastic wrap)
- Remove meat and pat dry.
- Lay meat on your dehydrator rack (you can also use your cook and crisp basket with your cook and crisp inset)
- Press dehydrate. Set the temperature 150 degrees set the time to 7 hours. For pliable jerky cook for 4-5 hours, for a brittle jerky cook for 7 hours.
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- We love this flavor combination for a deep flavor, but feel free to try your own combination of seasonings. You will still want to cook it for the same amount of time.
- If you don't have a dehydrator rack you can use your cook and crisp basket with your cook and crisp insert for similar results.
- You can easily adapt this recipe to a different variety of protein. Try venison or turkey. You may have to alter cooking times based on your protein.
Storage
Store your beef jerky in an airtight container once it is dehydrated.
What cut of meat should I use for beef jerky?
You want to ensure you choose a tender meat to make your beef jerky. I would use a round, flank, or sirloin to ensure you have the most tender jerky!
How long should I marinate beef jerky for?
With beef jerky you want it to be packed full of so much flavor and it gets that flavor through marinating the meat prior to cooking. I recommend marinating it for at least 8 hours, I like to do it overnight for even deeper flavor. You do not want to marinate it for more than 24 hours though.
